Schoolchildren in Britain have short summer holidays (only the last week in July, August, and the first week in September) but they have quite long holidays during the rest of the school year. There are two weeks for Christmas, two for Easter, an a week for Whitsun (Pentecost) - a religious holiday which comes 7 weeks after Easter.
The school year is divided into terms and there are half-term holidays of one week in October and one week in February.

L'anno scolastico è diviso in quadrimestri e ci sono vacanze di a metà quadrimestre a ottobre e a febbraio (una settimana).
